The place isn't very well maintained.
The bathrooms need touching up, and the ac in a lot of rooms are super noisy. If you switch yours off, you'll still hear the one from the next room.
Also too few bathrooms and elevators.
That being said, having a private room in NY for this amount, you can't really expect more right?
The room was clean (unlike the bathrooms), and comfortable. Had a great night sleep, and the location right next to central park make up for everything.

Cleanliness is not their strong point. For a little more you can find much better hotels, also to go to the bathroom which is shared you have to walk kilometers and in the morning from 8 to 10 approximately you always find it occupied as it should be. A night almost 200 euros for a bed and a desk. I recommend it only if you are in maximum difficulty and need to find a solution to spend the night.

This is not a normal hotel, but it really is great, you have everything you need, is clean, beds and pillows are comfy, it is a small room though but is all you need if you are looking for a good place to sleep while you are in NY and it has great location, 5 min walking to central park or 20 min walking to time square. Absolutely love it.

The YMCA's strong point is undoubtedly its location. It's right next to Central Park and has 2 subway stations very close by. There are great shops nearby, as well as movie theaters and the Lincoln Center.
The building is old and needs modernization. The rooms are small but serve their purpose. (The more expensive ones have a small minibar). The old window air conditioning is a bit noisy and the curtains don't close. The rooms are not cleaned every day. The bathrooms are cleaned twice a day. Guests are entitled to use the YMCA's fitness center and pool. Competent staff.

A very basic facility which you cannot ask for more. The furnishing is dated for rooms with shared toilets, the whole floor shares one male, one female and one mixed gender toilet. The male toilet has 3 showers, 3 urinals and 3 toilet bowls, which can get crowded at peak periods. The property is easily accessible from 59th ST / Columbus circle station.

However, don't expect much from the facilities.
