We’ve only been here for a day but I feel compelled to write a review already because of the brilliant service and hospitality. We’ve been to a few places in the Caribbean that were also 4 star where the service was a bit sub par but the service here has been so friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend!

What a brilliant week we had at Zafiro hotel. Everything was great , children’s entertainment , which is the main reason we chose this hotel , food service and the great friendly staff. The adult evening entertainment wasn’t the best but , but we loved the interactive quiz after . The pools are great with something for everyone young and old .my only issue was how slippy the pool area was when wet. Bedrooms are basic but clean , but we didn’t spend that much time in it as there was always something to do. 10 minute walk to beach and bars if you want a change. Would recommend this hotel to young families.

Overview As other reviewers have pointed out, the hotel rooms and pools are a little tired but the other communal areas and grounds are quite nice if a little compact. The overall experience was good and can largely be recommended as a family focused resort at a reasonable price point. The team are very friendly and hardworking and the rooms are cleaned well, the resort is a pleasant space to be and although the grounds are relatively compact given the capacity it is well laid out and doesn't feel crowded. There seems to be some deliberate 'managed decline' here with staffing levels and maintenance lower than you would hope at a hotel advertised (by Jet2) as 4 star plus but having read reviews before we booked felt value was good and the only issue that really impacted our enjoyment was a significant shortage of parasols by pool which I felt the hotel could have resolved by enforcing their policy of not reserving loungers/parasols. I did speak to reception on this as we really needed shade for our 5 year old one day and they apologised but did not help. Food & drink Food quality in the buffet was pretty good with a reasonable variety at each meal and some rotation, we only stayed a week so not sure if that holds true over a longer stay. Despite have an evening a la carte visit included in our package we were unable to book either the Italian or American restaurants through the app which always reported them fully booked and only let you book a couple of days ahead. Suggest asking reception or manager nicely at the very beginning if your stay if you wanted to try them. Did eat lunch at pool bar a couple of time and this was reasonable too although quality wasn't so far above the buffet you'd go out of your way. Cocktails/mixed drinks could vary wildly depending on who made them and how busy they were. The timing of the mini-disco at 8 and limited meant everybody was crowding into the buffet early and if you weren't early it could feel a little depleted later with the kitchen clearly struggling to refill it. The same issue to a lesser extent at lunchtime with the another kids activity planned for 2. Generally felt the hours for dinner could have been longer to allow kids to attend mini-disco and have a meal afterwards. The only other point I'd note is that quality/variety of deserts seemed to decline later in the buffets opening hours. Entertainment Didn't make much use of the mini club but the activities we did were fine and our son enjoyed them. There is a main show every evening at 9 although one night was bingo and only one show I would really call good. Pools/Activities The hotel was at capacity when we were there however the main pool was large enough to accommodate that comfortably. Whilst the were enough loungers to go around at the main pool, there were nowhere near enough parasols, certainly not the amount shown in the resorts official picture on the Jet2 site and the loungers with them or in shade were 'res

We stayed at the Zafiro Can picanfort for 7 days mid way through May half term and really enjoyed our stay. We have a 5 and 3 year old and it was perfect for them. We’d definitely consider returning, there are just a couple of things it would be great they could improve. In 2024 we stayed at the Zafiro Menorca and had a lovely stay but wanted a bigger resort so decided to book Mallorca Can Picanfort instead and we’re really pleased we did. It’s about an hour from the airport by taxi and 15-20 walk to the beach. Everything operates off a NFC wrist band which makes it really easy to order anything and get into your room. Resort grounds - beautiful well maintained grounds with multiple olive trees and flowers. A real credit to the staff that maintain them. There are multiple pools, playground, bouncy castle, gym, crazy golf, table tennis, Astro tuff football pitch, arcade style games and supermarket. Food - we were on an all inclusive package. We booked via BA holidays so were entitled to 3 alacarte meals too, I think the standard is one. Book the alacarte as soon as you arrive as we could only get 2 bookings as it is very popular. Buffet restaurant - you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner here. We only had breakfast and dinner here, as would have got bored with buffet style food 3 times a day. Our favourite night was Saturday as it was Spanish night so lots of seafood. It’s very geared up for kids with plastic plates and cutlery. The decor in the restaurant was nice with lots of greenery but we preferred to sit outside. We felt the set up of the Zafiro Menorca was better than Can Picanfort. As here it was one long line of food so people don’t know if they have to queue up or just nip in for the bits they want. Also at busy times there isn’t much room with people going backwards and forward. This was one area where at times there didn’t seem like enough staff. Cereal and pancakes totally running out so you felt like you had to often go bk and forth. Opens 7:30am for breakfast and 6pm for dinner. Lunch restaurant - this is alacarte and outside on the terrace overlooking the pool. We had every lunch here and enjoyed the choice of the many different dishes. It can get very busy so would recommend ordering food at the same time as drinks so you aren’t trying to get someone’s attention again. For dessert there are a couple of alacarte options plus ice cream from the freezer and self serve soft scoop. They take food orders till 4pm so ideal if your flight arrives later in the day. Italian restaurant (alacarte night time) - this is located upstairs above the buffet. We were greeted with welcome drinks and focaccia. The service was attentive and friendly, with no rush for us to get our table back. We were really impressed with the food, the black ink risotto being our favourite. There wasn’t any dessert our children wanted so we were able to grab some ice cream from the buffet and bring it upstairs. We enjoyed the tiramisu and the macaroon. Would r

2nd time at this hotel and very rarely return to the same hotel. Requested two rooms together in certain block and this request was forfilled. We checked in online before arriving and this made the check in even easier. Rooms were ready on arrival and this was about 1pm. Staff are all lovely and very helpful. They couldn’t have done anymore. Restaurants were lovely. Food was really good. Can’t understand why people are complaining of repetitive food and cold food. This certainly wasn’t our experience. We booked the Italian restaurant and really enjoyed this. Lunch time is nice as you can order from the menu at the pool bar so everything is freshly prepared for you. There is nothing to complain about with the food but my only issue was the time it took to get served at the bars. Lots of staff but generally only one serving. Didn’t make sense. Especially if you have people ordering time consuming coffees and cocktails. They have a freezer full of different ice creams and lollies. You just help yourself to them. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Yes slightly dated but who cares as long as they are clean. Our room was cleaned everyday. We had a swim up room that our children loved. We had the hot tub room last time but much preferred the swim up. Kids club was great and our children enjoyed it. The park is lovely, has a trampoline and bouncy castle. We mainly used this in the morning or evening as was pretty warm in the day. The mini golf is a lovely idea and completely free. Evening entertainment was good for the children and they seemed to enjoy it. The beach, bars and restaurants are all very close. There is a Aldi down the road. Really nice location. This is a family hotel that works really well. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Food and drinks was good, All staff were fantastic. No air-con till last night ‘because it wasn’t hot enough’. It was. Room bathroom had a very very bad smell coming out the drains. They did come and sort it but was back by the next day. Generally just an old tired hotel. Maby I’ve just got fussy after visiting much nicer hotels for the same money.

Just on our final day of holiday and would like to express our appreciation of this resort. Room was ideal for our young family, booked a penthouse room which meant we had the balcony and jacuzzi area whilst our child was asleep. Also having a kitchenette (with fridge) was ideal. Local Aldi 5 mins walk. Pools were great as well, our child enjoyed both the kids pool and the bigger pools with poolside activities. Great food at both the buffet and the a la carte restaurants, went to Blackwells and La Palpa. Which were included in our stay. Note: we booked direct and managed to book at half board plus which was great for us as we didn’t need the all inclusive during the day, but were able to enjoy drinks with dinner. Plus you get a gift of a bottle of wine on check in for booking direct! Our only downside is that we couldn’t stay longer.
